Pennywise is open-source software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0).

Under the AGPL-3.0, you are free to use, modify, and distribute this software provided that:

• Any modified or derived work is also released under AGPL-3.0
• Appropriate credit is given to the original author
• The full source code of any network-deployed version is made publicly available

When Do You Need a Commercial License?

You need a separate commercial license if you intend to:

• Use or embed this codebase in a proprietary or closed-source application
• Distribute a product based on this code without open-sourcing your modifications
• Offer this software (or a derivative) as a SaaS or managed service without releasing your source
